Weathered Buchanan is my chosen tartan - Watt ancestry etc. but that's all victorian english nonsense anyway. Wear whatever you like and enjoy! I have a cracking big dirk that I wear out sometimes - cut our wedding cake with it (dirk is small sword as opposed to the skian dubh which everybody wears in their sock). Got to watch you don't get arrested but the amount of ladies who want to come alongside and touch my big dirk is impressive and gratifying. The kilt abroad is much more fun that at home. I remember a party near Amsterdam - like a magnet the thing was...

Found another kilt supplier in Wales!!! Not sure how they measure up to Utilikilts. They're certainly a lot cheaper & the leather with dragon embroidery.... Hmmmmm

If they weren't so damned expensive I'd have one. MacDonald of Clanranald is mine.
I could only wear it for dress occasions ... doesn't go with the cape.

+1 on this. This picture demonstrates that kilts can get away with being some colours but never, EVER camoflage!!
