Thread: Dogs!

Wonder why we translate some and not others. The Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen for instance is not translated but German Short Haired Pointer is.

Jack Russells have this thing where they like to stick their tongue out especially while they're sleeping. Sebastian is a source of much entertainment for the kids. Their phones are full of tongue pictures. This was one I got and sent to them.



He is such a goofball sometimes.

Max loves to give me hugs. Unfortunately he will sometimes catch me off guard and scratch me with those bear claws.


Pay no mind to the old fat guy in the picture. Man! I gotta do P90X again

My Scooby will do that on command, those off guard moments can put you on your arse.

Gabby, our mini poodle looks like she’s contemplating a dip.

What can’t be seen in the picture is the big ass stick she wants that’s floating in the pool.

This is Remi's second season on the lake, she is 1 year 8 months now and has become pretty comfortable on "Her" boat.

We spent the night on Fri, there was a small group of Sailboats that were doing a 5-day sail around the lake, pretty cool really. Group of old friends that have done this circuit for the last 11 years...
Most every boat had a dog on it so Remi was in seventh heaven meeting people and other dogs, she has become a little social butterfly, so much different from our first two Shibas.

The fear of her jumping off the boat ended last year with her first actual swim, she doesn't like it one-bit she is totally content to stay onboard.
She is most content while we are underway, she LOVES the wind in her face and literally will sit on the seat next to me smiling..

So I’m interviewing a guy next week for an electrician spot on my team.
He’s from China, went to a Harbin college of technology over there. So I google it cause I had a Chinese electrician working for me before and he was very good, and highly trained. Their trades schools are very strong regardless of the politics etc over there..
Anyway, I’m google earthing the city and notice a restaurant selling dog meat, well, I’m just so grossed out cause when I switch filters to dog meat restaurants I see this.

Trying to be open minded,inclusive, and worldly and all, but 4 f -k! I just can’t fathom the need to eat some of the animals they do over there when they really don’t have to..
Anyway, not trying to be racist but really, my blood boils thinking of all those dogs,,,,
There’s more of those restaurants there than Tim Hortons up here per mile!
Not trying to bring you dog lovers down, just sharing a rage..
Although full disclosure, the dark humorist in me found a couple of the names laughable if not still horrible.
Love your furry friends, my hairy friends. They too should be grateful to live in our part of the world.

Also check out CNN Bejinn 2008 Olympics--last I knew the video was crappy but you could still get the idea of what was available to eat.
