Our breeder shared this pic of golden retriever puppies sleeping around a frozen bottle of water.

It was 71 degrees in the room, but not cold enough for these pups.

She swaps fresh sweet potato for pumpkin but has made both and the dogs go crazy for them.
The cutters were from amazon and come in three sizes.
Eats them herself and says they are delicious, like sweet potato biscottis..
I take her word for it, and the look on Buddy’s face when she eats one,, I must get a picture..
Doggy indignation if ever I’ve seen it.

When I visited my buddy down in AZ on my first long summer ride on the Harley I found he doesn't have dogs, but he does have a couple of spoiled rotten cats.

While they do get regular cat food, at night he makes them a 'treat' that's got finely chopped baby spinach (had to be baby, not regular) mixed with canned pumpkin and some other things.

During my visit there was a shortage of canned pumpkin here in the states and all he could find was Organic and he was fit to be tied at the cost of it.

I will confess to leaving them on the Traeger on 'Smoke' to let them dry up more than I should as they want to split in half but my neighbors dogs won't mind.

The reason I wanted to try to dry them out more than they had after baking for the 40 minutes was I was worried about the moisture inside might allow mold to form if they were stored outside of refrigeration.

I had everything on hand and in fact I used some Whole Wheat flour that I'd had for at least a year so I used that up. I also have some hand ground oat flour and another can of pumpkin and eggs on hand so I might have another go at it in a week or so.

Let us know how they like them.
Good neighbor. Keeps the dogs around him happy..

And for what it’s worth, the moisture does dissipate without mold unrefrigerated, but a valid concern..
    Cheers.
