I don't remember if I posted about my beloved Boston Terrier Pappy or not. I buried him the summer before last at 11 years old, and cried like a toddler the whole time. I don't do that at funerals for actual people.

I know I posted on our German Shepherd shelter dog mix Lia, maybe last summer. Anyway, a couple months back we got her a companion so that she wouldn't be so lonely when we went back to school after being together 24/7 for 5 months during the Covid shutdown. He is a Black Lab mix named Cooper who quickly became a beloved member of the family; they are now inseparable.

Even when he comes to lay on top of me at 3 in the morning hoping to wake me up, I can't get mad at him.

I can certainly sympathize Aaron. It one of the hardest things I've ever done to bury a dog. It's the downside of making such a deep bond.

Hmmm, I wonder about cats. What am I saying, cats are probably just sitting around purgatory bathing and waiting for them to feel like getting up and talking to someone. Cat 1: "St Peter is calling you". Cat 2: "ehhh, whatever, I just cleaned my feet, I am not getting them dirty again just for him". Cat 1: "Did he just grab a can opener?". All Cats: "MEOW...I'm cute. Meow. Want me to rub your leg. Meow".
If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

So he has a name. My son came up with it since it's his dog. It's Fenneko after a character in some animated show which is supposed to be based on a fennec fox. From what they said he is a chihuahua mix, which is plain, possibly mixed with a beagle which would make him a cheagle. He weighs in at just under 4lbs. Probably top out between 10-15lbs. He was shivering so I made him a sweater out of a sock.
