Then there is The Florida Python Challenge which is like a reality show event like the great race. It's a very Florida man kind of hootenanny. The sanctioned stuff is mostly in the Everglades and most of the participants are real swamp-billies but invasive species hunting is a statewide effort. I collect as many Cuban treefrogs as I can get and "euthanize " them.
Since you euthanize them I was wondering if you have looked at the new generation of airguns. They charge with a scuba tank, spit out. 22 cal. Pellets at 11000fps,and are suppressed. The perfect tool for euthanizing pests

I have a .177 high velocity pellet gun. The problem is I mainly find them on the outside of my house. I would be putting holes in the siding with it.

Yeah, that's a problem...you can always set up a blind of sorts. Personally, I'd be in deep trouble with the wife...

Yeah, invasive species are pretty much fair game so to speak. I might get a frown but i will.take the greater good argument. However, far as the owls are concerned you are not allowed to shoot them or any other raptors except that there is a "varmint clause" which states that in defense of livestock and by extension pets all protection laws are null and void. I might have so.e explaining to do but if an owl or a hawk or eagle tries to abscond with one of my pups I will do what I can to protect them.

Yes you might, I accidentally shot a snow Owl when we were shooting skeet on the beach (I live on Long island) this thing broke cover right next to me, scaring the crap out of me, and as I fell, I rolled over and shut, and shot again. Three direct hits, maybe the best shot of my life, and when we saw what I had hit, we covered it up and split. This was when I was very young, around 18 or so, and the fine for a seagull was a grand, and I didn't want to find out what an owl was gonna cost me.....

So, on impulse, went to the last day of the local outdoor farmers market here in Orangeville.
Winter is coming, gorgeous colors in the air and a lady with a wagon full of great pyrenees for sale.
We walked away course cause we have two dogs, Buddy and Gabby. Well if we weren’t in town hours later and saw the same gal while out getting some supplies. Musta been fate.
And may I introduce ya’ll to Kona our new girl.

25 lbs @ 11 weeks and a gentle soul. Buddy will maintain his male dominants status, even though she will likely be twice his size when done growing.
    Cheers men.
