My friend sent it from her smart phone.

I think it was around 900 lbs of old couches, lawn mowers and various crap she had just hanging around. We loaded it in her 3 horse trailer, I know the landfill bill was $17.

He was more curious than anything. He just wanted to sniff it and poke it with his nose.

I took Travis with me for an overnight adventure. My friend Annie needed help with trying to get her flowerbed /weed bed under control and get some ground cover and then bark laid down. We'd done one bed and then life got in the way.

She has a Cock-a-poo (Charlie) and Travis gets along really well with the little guy.

We got started work after supper and it had cooled off.

Then the rest evening was spent watching TV and talking.

The next day she put Charlie on a long leash on one side of the project and I put Travis on the other. There was shade for both of them.

I noticed that Travis was eating grass but dogs do that. Well once home and he'd had supper he wanted to go for his walk but it was a bit early but he really wanted to go so we went for a short walk.

Once home the usual routine of letting him run in the small fenced back yard. He was really into 'Zoomies' and once he'd worked out a bowel movement and he was 'Almost Done' this is what I had to deal with

Since he couldn't pinch it off-------------I went in and got some paper towels and pulled an equal amount of length out. There was a little bit still sticking out but it cleaned up when I wiped him.

He's had this problem before, but not this extreme.

I've had dogs all my life, I was raised with dogs and I can't remember ever having to pull grass from any dogs rectum. Name: no see smily.gif

Our bullador grazer, Poppy, had the same problem night before last. We were in bed and heard her come flying into the house through the dog door in a panic cause she was being chased by her own turd. While I cleaned up and extracted grass, my wife brought it up on the security cam. She said she'd never seen a dog move so fast in a squat like that before.

I have had to help my dog(s) complete the expulsion of stuff from their rear ends several times. Our golden retriever Sam had a twig sticking out with which I had to help him. The yelp he let out when it finally came out caused my wife and kids to yell at me thinking I had hurt the dog. Our vet explained that doggie digestive tracts are pretty straight, not convoluted like ours, so stuff passes more or less straight through.

Retrievers are particularly food driven and I’ve had to help ours pass some pretty odd things: 4 $20 bills, a red thong our daughter left lying on her bedroom floor, shoe laces, etc. Our daughter’s beagle has swallowed hearing aids, socks, hair elastics among other things, some of which required veterinary intervention.

You can’t watch them all the time and everywhere they go.
