That remindse of a Jeff Foxworthy bit I saw about how guys trash talk to other men they like and how woman would be crushed. Boy isn't that the truth!

Men see other guys they know. "Hey fatass! Careful there you're leaving footprints in the concrete! Love the shirt. Do they make it in men's?" (Turns to his wife) "God, I love that guy!"

Women see other gals they know. "Oh Hiiii!!! You look great! I love that dress it looks SOOOO good on you! Let's have lunch some day soon!" (Turns to her husband). "Ugh! That fat cow! I hate her!"

Sorry for your loss. One of our dogs turned 14 in March. We got him before we had our kids and one of them sleeps next to him every night. When that day comes it will be horrible.

Very sorry for your loss. We have been through this a number of times and well understand your pain. The pain will pass leaving only fond memories in it's place.

My son and DiL put down their cat, Maggie yesterday.
Maggie was 22 and the DiL's first pet.

We have 3 cats, Billy, Tommy and Mikey. They're all 15, we got them as rescues when they were kittens.

Billie stopped eating a few weeks ago and went down to a skeleton covered in fur. We took him to the vet and after a blood test said that although not too bad yet he was stating to have liver problems and at his age, well you know.

I don't get upset very often, especially in front of strangers and to be honest I have never been a cat person but I had moist eyes and it showed.

I told the vet he could forget it, Billie was not going to be written off so easily, my wife told me that I had to be sensible but I was not feeling sensible, I was upset.

The vet gave hime some liver pills, some pills to make him hungry and some pain killers to see if it would help but warned me the Billie would probably need to be put down.

My wife and I have spent $600 so far, we fed Billie with a spoon and held his water up to him so he didn't have to bend down to drink.

It's been almost 2 weeks now , he is eating soft food and drinking a lot, he is starting to fill out and weighs a lot more.

I know he's old and will go soon but not yet, he's defininately looking up.
