I was at work when I posted and didn't have a photo on my cell phone.
Here is our Tasha. Spoiled as hell but worth it. She is my baby.

I have a little Lhasa Apso, great fun and awesome with the kids, feel a bit sorry for him sometimes as he gets a snowball present every night when my daughter gets home from the Crêche

I've gotta say that I'll never have anything but a Doberman. Here's my boy "Arson". The most loyal, loving and hard working dog I've met. He's 2 now and weighs in at 88lbs, stands 28.5 inches at his shoulders (right on breed standard). If I had to describe him with one word it would be... relentless!

Reminds me of a Doberman Black Lab mix I once had. At 6 months it Ate the side of a Sofa. Ripped it off and Ate the Whole Thing!

What makes him remind you of the mix? The description or picture? He's a purebread, dad was from Alberta and was Canadian, American, Thai and European champion, mom is from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and is Can/US/EU champ as well. He's got the BFL Bred for longevity which requires his pedigree to have a certain number of dogs that have lived at least 11 years. Hips eyes and heart certified as well as dna tested free and clear of von willibrand disease, a disease that affects dobermans whose breeders don't follow good practices, similar to hemophilia in humans.
