Thanked: 2284Speaking of ear fixing, here's my boy Jack. He's a purebred Cane Corso ( Italian Mastiff.) He eats like a horse, has bowel movements like a horse, but is a scaredy cat like a mouse. Unfortunately when we got him we had no choice with the tail docking. We did have a choice with his ears, as most Corsos have cropped ears. We chose to leave him natural, hes already scary looking as it is! Its funny, my wife originally wanted a blue colored female, but fell in love with Jack, a black brindled boy!!!
He's great with my daughter too.

Been awhile since i posted into this thread and the youngest puppy has grown up a bit.
Tried to take a pic of them all 4 running in the same picture, but it seems to be the mission impossible.
So here's few from today. Took three pics from me to catch them all.

Thanked: 116A few years back, here in Nova Scotia, a law was introduced that prohibits the cropping of ears. There are reasons to crop and not to crop. My pup is a family dog and has no need to have it done; police/ward dogs get it done for very specific purposes.
Wally: beautiful Italian Mastiff you've got there.

Thanked: 2284Marine Dad, I agree!! I told my wife that my next dog would be small, like sailors dog there. Although I love my Jack boy, he's hard to manage sometimes.

With all this talk about dogs it got me to thinking about a subject I am passionate about.....dog food. I thought of making a list of brands to avoid but I don't want to offend anyone who may be feeding their beloved pet such low quality food. I think you should feed your dog the best quality kibble you can afford but others don't really care. As I said though, it's a subject I am passionate about.
