Well everything landed so----------------I got it all done.

Not many pics but here's where I was checking the new compensator for alignment with the clutch.

I gave it a short ride yesterday than I gave it a bit of a longer one today and I must have done it all correctly as the clutch works nice and crisp, the compensator is quiet and the new chain tightener is quiet as well.

I find it a bit humorous as I did all of the work all by myself but I needed my neighbor to help me get the rubber cover back over the adjustment as it just didn't want to go. We used two O-ring hooks on both sides. hehehe Name: no see smily.gif

Winter project. Been looking at fatboys but nothing is coming up that is the right price and bike so..
Always liked the older 88tc dynas and the FXDX was the one I wanted. Not many of them around down here.
This one needs a bit of sorting but has quite a few Aftermarket parts, mikuni flatslide carb, v&h exhaust and more. Only 23k miles on it, and the price was right.
Will pull cam side down and replace tensioners while I am doing everything else.
    Crap photo from auction.

There's nothing wrong with those pipes and carb. A 2 into 1 pipe is much better for performance and so is that carb. I love the Dyna's and they f'd up discontinuing a good model. I ran a D&D on my Dyna and it was the difference between night and day.

Yeah, that is part of the reason I got it. Someone spent a fair bit on it.
Has ZEL triple clamps, looks like S&S coil and leads and been converted to chain drive. The only ones I seen converted to chain had a 95" kit fitted. Will see.

First part of the puzzle. Needed a rear hub, but not having much luck.
Visited a mate of mine I hadn't seen in a while and his son had a set of alloys off the same bike that he swapped out for spoked wheels.

Front 19" twin disc, rear 16".
Missed a SE cam plate and pump etc that came up so depending what's been done will probably just do cyco tensioner shoes and check cam bearings and ride it while I gather parts.
Real PITA getting stuff here atm with shipping backlogs.
