Thanked: 530I really want a Mac, but, being a gamer, I can't justify the price to hardware ratio... The top of the line performance mac is like 2300... And it is mediocre hardware (even if the software and OS are incredibly user friendly)... For that price I could have an Alienware game-tank, with utilitarian OS... My girlfriend has a mac, because she wants her laptop to be her friend, and it is a great system for ease of use... I want my laptop to be my Bitch, and my workhorse... And HP/alienware do that. I need my RAM :P

I've used Apple computers all my life. Currently, I have a 20" iMac and a 15" MacBook Pro. Enjoy your new toy!

Since the Macintosh SE, with a digression into UNIX
systems (with is thankfully applicable to modern
Macs!).

Yup. Love them. I use both PC and Mac (PC at work is utterly useless, crashes all the time, a source of endless frustration). Mac at home since 1992, I currently have a Macbook pro 13". I've owned 5 Macs including my present, and I have had nearly zero problems (once I had to have the fuse replaced in my G5, and another time something just needed to be reset inside). Both times, it was fixed by the Apple dealer for free, even after warranty expired. Apple is a fantastic company, IMO.

I have used Macs on and off over the years. Currently using a MacBook Air and love it for traveling which I do a lot. In my opinion, Mac OS is much less trouble than Windows and rarely if ever worry about virus'

I love my MAC
I've got a Mac mini and love it. Never any problems. It is so cool to hit print and the thing prints, or to open a program and it opens and does what you want it to do. I bought my mother a macbook for her birthday last year and she is now a diehard Mac fan too after years of frustration with PCs.

I've used Macs as long as I've played music, going on 15 years now. Much easier for me to deal with than PCs, but I suspect that might have to do with it being my 'first language', as opposed to any superiority over Win machines, which is obvious, duh.
