If you ever want to have some fun with a cheap cigar...

Get some coffee beans and give em some moisture. Put the beans in a Tupperware container and rig a way to place a couple of cigars above them without getting wet. Open the container now and again so as to ensure it doesn't get too damp - in a month or so give em a smoke.

I gave it a shot on some freebies I got and... Yum!!

Not a bad little smoke... But, well, I am quite sure they are either old as sin, or were stored poorly at the vendors. My first clue was the cellophane fell apart really easy! The wrapper is a touch to brittle/discolored, and the smoke a touch too biting.

Well - I guess we know why they were on sale now lol. That said - it was still a decent smoke and far from unsalvageable. It'll just take a while.

A glas of ice tea and a Esplendido from 2002 in the garden (and I'm pretty set there, nothing to do at the moment) =

Reminds me of fond memories of my trip to New Orleans after HS graduation. Hit up that shop and got a box of their maduros. First cigars I ever enjoyed.

The HdM le Roi's are gone. Sniff.

I have moved on to the HdM du Dauphins. Sunday was a double-up day. My pipes are glaring at me.

    Toughski breakski, pipes. It's summer.
