I'm generally not one to spend a lot on a single cigar, but a few years back I bought one of those Padron anniversary cigars and let me tell you,
what an amazing smoke. Worth the money every once in a while.

Thanked: 49The Padrons are not crazy expensive like a real Cohiba or Trinidad. My experience over the last 15 or so years is that even when other makers quality slipped a bit because of increased production, etc, the Padron Anniversary stuff and the higher end stuff that Fuente makes for themselves and others stayed good. You can;'t say that about some of the Cubans. Pardon really helped Nicaragua steal some of the thunder from the DR and Honduras just like the Opus line really challenged the Cubans when they first came out.

I agree. Padron is generally what I smoke. The regular cigars are very economical and are a great smoke.

So today I did a small La Palina. The "Kill Bill". It's a 4.25 x 40 powerhouse, oh Yum! Oil on the lips, tons of smoke, and the pepper on the retrohale... oh man. This cigar is actually, refreshing!
At first I wasn't sure if a cigar this size could live up to its retail, but man, it did. What a great little cigar!
Seriously - the song title is fitting of the stickDavid
