Haven't had an Rye that I've liked yet. There's a lot I haven't tried still. Maybe pick up another sampler...
yardie, as I understand you're in Canada.
My recommendation, try Vegas Robaina XV Aniversario Edicion Regional Canada 2012.
Anyone had a 5 Vegas or Cinco vegas? It was something along those lines. The previous post reminded me of one I had at my friends in Oklahoma. Was a great smoke. Smooth and spicy.
I was curious of your take on them.
I picked up a couple of the Piramide last summer and was blown away by them...I believe they were in the top 25 of '12...?
As per your terminology :) - I haven't had a 5 Vegas I've liked yet lol.
Romeo y.. have really upped their game as of late I think. I got some free bees and they weren't bad. A few months ago, I would have been on board with you 100%.
Diesel Unholy Cocktail on the ride in this morning.
This is one of my absolute favourite smokes, full and bold with thick blue smoke.

I am sure I wouldn't know :)!!
Just joking. Evey time I head "home" (Toronto), I'll smoke a few Cubans. I like em. I might like them a bit more though because I'll only smoke one when the cercumstances are perfect! I mean they are expensive!!
This makes it hard for me to be subjective. There is a point where this mans expectations due to cost don't jive. I think they call that marginal utility :).
I am like that a fancy restaurants too. If you are paying, the meal was fantastic. If I am paying... "Man! I could have bought an entire cow for that or payed my mortgage this month!"
Cubans are great. But the price always sees me wanting more :(.
Room 101 Daruma Mutante , 7 x 38.
Very nice cigars with fine flavor of "forest berry" and, possibly, currant.

No pic but tonight was a Ghurka Centurion. Not bad in flavor but they are wrapped tight in perfecto and at times I though my eyeballs felt like they were caving in on the draw.
First had one of these a month or so ago and was instantly smitten with it.
(The last time I was blown away by a cigar like that was when I first tried a Diesel Unholy Cocktail and a Man O War Ruination.)
This of course forced my hand to pick up some Namakubis, currently mellowing in my humi.
manah...I must say the pics you post are quite impressive and evoke more than just a slight amount of jealousy in me...!
Almost forgot the pic!

Played a little golf today. Its a beautiful sunny 65 degree (17) day here in KS. The first 8 holes were accompanied by a Nub maduro. It was lovely.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Jealous :)
Headed south Wednesday buddy!
Big road trip
New Orleans from here and then east coast back to Niagara and home
Chillin and smokin (non cubans of course)
Thanks David
I will do that!
Romeo y Julieta Churchill 2012 - Reserva Cosecha 2008.
Overall - good cigar.
But this's not what you expect from a cigar for about 40 euros.
Although, perhaps expectations were too high.:)

Good to know I'm not the only one who likes an aggressive cut.
Thanks for the review...that's a fair chunk of change to drop on a 'good' cigar.

Is anyone else familiar with Brickhouse?
I've had a few of their offerings and been very impressed with them, don't let the 'bargain' label fool you.
Had their Maduro over the weekend and would dare say if this was the only Maduro I could ever get my hands on, I wouldn't be disappointed in the least at all.
Solid.
Brick House even gets good reviews on Cigar AF!! I haven't had more than a couple. They were alright.
Today I decided to have a cigar for breakfast with my coffee :). Still working on my box of CASA's. Last time I had a cigar this early (pre 8am), I was trying to settle myself before an exam.
What a great way to start the day!!
Manah, that is a LOT for a stick !
I thought Canada was expensive !
Yardie, I liked the Brick House I last smoked but I have to say, was a bit boring compared to a lot of others.
So far, La Aroma de Cuba Belicosos have been my favorite non cubans.
I really liked that Romeo Figurado but the Upmans, Cohibas and Partagas are my real faves :)
Mike
Funny,in the early 70s I went to Cuba twice to fish.
Partagas #10s at the factory were 1.75 USD :)
Ya didn't save me any by chance did ya Pixel?
They'd sure be nice now :)
No kidding!
Alas - today I reintroduced myself to the joys of the Joya lol.

If you are ever in Capital City KS - you have to have a Bobo's burger as stated by the food network, and agreed by 1000's of Kansas residents :).
I like this cigar. Its odd though - some days I like it more than others. What never changes is its strength though. Strong! And with it, a kick your nostrils into tomorrow retrohale lol!!
Yum.
A must read!! Today!! :(
