Just got back home from a little mini vacation with the wife. We went to the east side of the state and went on beaches looking for beach glass and petosky stones. She makes jewelry from them and has a nice little studio in the house to do that.
We started in Port Huron and stayed at a hotel right at the bridge to Canada. The photo of the ship is taken from our room.
Was nice to be away and it is also nice to get home. I don't smoke in my Jeep, when my wife is with me and was relegated to only smoke outside for five days. Nice to sit in my leather recliner and smoke.
Back to finishing my outside painting project in the next two days, before it gets too cold and then back to work on Wednesday.

Recovering from last night with a bowl of London mixture in a basket briar, it was Mizzou's homecoming and its massive here, and getting ready for the next two weeks. I'm work the next 13 days straight and putting in near 40 hours on my part time job to get ready for next weekends off road park and machine gun shoot.

No pics tonight but when looking at a antique/junk store I found a church warden style pipe for under $10. Not high quality. For example on the stem it says "Real Briar"
3 partial bowls to break it in but it kept lit and was a good smoker, no gurgling etc.

Sat here last week with my daughter and enjoyed a nice churchwarden full of Lane 1Q my buddy brought with him. It kept the bears away. LOL
Boundary waters between Canada and Minnesota. The land you see off in the distance is technically Canada while I was setting on the US side of the lake.
