I quite smoking my pipes almost four years ago before having several surgeries in one year. A few months ago I reconnected with an old friend who had started shaving with straight razors and smoking pipes.
I sold him almost 100 tins of cellared tobaccos of which some are still available and some are sadly gone. Basically sold them to him for what I paid for them knowing that some could sell for well over 100 a tin. Felt better doing that and helping an old friend than trying to sell them to the highest bidder.
I have so far kept most of my Castello collection but did sell him a lot of pipes, too. Have plenty of my favorite tobacco still cellared and if my doctor ever tells my that I only have so long left, the pipe smoke will roll from my house.
I still miss my pipes and tobacco every day and still have many within reach of my recliner just in case I feel the urge to light up again.
Hope all my old friends here are still well and in good health.

I quit my pipes Christmas of 2021. Still have them and pounds of tobacco.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

I found this pipe at an Antique store back in June. The guy told me it was made in Japan in 1922. Maybe so, maybe not, but it sure does smoke really well. One of my favorites! The tobacco pouch I made from Deer hide.
Semper Fi !
