Thanked: 31Wow! Is that just a broken tenon or did something happen to the bowl as well? I can't tell from your pic.
If it's just a broken tenon that would be an easy and relatively cheap fix. Dave at Walker Briar Works would be a good source if you don't have anyone locally.
I certainly hope it's only the tenon....

Thanked: 983The Mix
At a mates place on a very wet and rainy work weekend (rained out, so work cancelled, went visiting friends instead). My friend decided he was going to try and find his pipes to try some Amphora. What he came out with was a whole mix of stuff, most of which I had given him over a long period of time.
The white soapstone (?) pipe I bought for him in Mexico, the large Briar (Civic brand) I bought for myself many years ago and ended up giving to him. The small pipe is a BBB he bought for himself in Korea and the yellow pipe is a B.B&S (factory second) that belongs to me. All the packets are a wide variety of pipe tobaccos, most of which was beyond smoke worthy.
The knife is a custom made by ny other friend and this blokes brother (I taught him the basics in knifemaking and leather work, and now look what he's doing!) The big dark blade is a hand forged Bolo machete that I picked up for my mate at a market a couple of weeks ago. I fixed it up made a sheath for it and gave it to my mate as a gift.
Sorry about the quality, yet another mobile 'phone photo.
