Just had a nice afternoon at the local cigar/pipe shop. Out of curiosity, of the packaged tobaccos, what is your favorite aromatic tobacco?

If it can be considered an aro I'd go with granger.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

Thanked: 1185Yeah, that! It's definitely not your cookie cutter goopy, friuty aromatic. In fact I think calling it an aromatic is a bit of a stretch but it does smell nice and the taste is delicious. Granger and a cup of coffee is absolutely outstanding. Just burned some on the way home in my Whitehall Grand National.
PS: If you're looking for a great all around "real" aromatic you could do alot worse than this stuff http://pipesandcigars.com/troutstream.html. I'm not generally an aromatic guy but I do really like this stuff, not only does it smell great (like butterscotch) but it smokes about 100 times better than any aro I've ever smoked. When I get a sweet tooth this stuff is the bomb.Last edited by 1OldGI; 03-09-2012 at 10:32 AM.

Thanked: 1185Cornell and Diehl Old Joe Krantz in a 7769 Kaywoodie. I have maybe four or five bowls left of a pound I bought some time back. I've been trying to stretch it out as far as I could. Looks like it's about time to order up another pound.

So how does this compare with Carter Hall? I have been looking for another blend to try and add a bit of variety. I have been away on work so smoking has been little to none in the past week. This morning however the clouds are back over NW Florida so it back porch time. My homemade mixture in a Dr Grabow tomato shape, coffee on the side.
