Thanked: 45SJF in a freehand Milano. It's smoken pretty good in this pipe, too.

Today was a healthy bit of Granger with a nice vodkarita. Roommates made a pitcher and I figured what could happen? I was pleasantly surprised how good they were.

Sitting at the my backyard. Enjoying some Rattrays and strong lager. Wifey said i look lazy but actually that is not so. Not at all. I am getting ready to watch soccer semifinals Ger-Ita this evening. Germany will win for sure. (At least it should because me and son put some money on it).
And now something totally different and unseen (at least for me). Upon visiting local tobacco shop today i found this. Let me explain.
There has been many tobacco factories in my home town at the days of old. Rettig (nowadays Amer Sports, i think) was the last.
One of those old producers was named Konst (Konstantin) Kallio and the production ended after the factory was destroyed in terror bombings at June 1942. For reason unknown the owner decided to keep the stock he had left somewhere without ever selling it. Until now. This month his family members decided to sell the whole stock to local pipe shop. 70 years after this tobacco was made.
I got a sample of moisturized tobacco today and have to say it was 'most interesting', very strong stuff. 60% of imported tobaccos and the rest is some local poison. Who knows what they put in these mixtures specially at the times of war when there was huge shortage of everything. The price was 50 marks at 1942 (incl taxes). If i haven't lost all my skills in mathematics, that would be about 9 € today. However, today they sell it for 7€/box. Not all are for sale: they are saving some to sell or give at the last pub where smoking is still allowed. Pretty popular place among local pipe & cigar smokers.
I'm not going to open it now. Have to moisturize it first. Probably got few boxes more, if there's still left.

Smoking the Meerschaum with Black Watch while sipping Navy Grog lounging in the kiddie pool. Yea, it’s that kind of day.

Sir, I find your kiddie pool an offence to the piping world.
You must upgrade to at least a Turtle pool for proper soaking/smoking enjoyment! LOL!
