The wife doesn't let me mellow my socks like I used to be able to. She reckons they have to have a bath after just one wearin', but occassionally I get a second or third in before she sniffs out trouble!

Between crazy deadly animals, outlawing almost everything good for defending yourself, skyrocketing crime rates, and belligerent taxation, I vote you come to the states. Cheap beverages, tobacco, and (by comparison) gasoline are waiting for you Originally Posted by MickR

Too many people there for my liking, but I'd gladly take another few months of holiday there and have a smoke and a drink with ya if I could afford it...I did enjoy the cheap prices of tobacco and alchohol when I was in the US I admit. And I really regret not buying a beautiful Meerschum I saw in a pipe shop I passed in Chicago I think it was. That's life though, and I know I'll get back there one day. Just not in the near future.

One more off topic E-tom and then I'll get back on track...But...How's the Fall season and foliage over there in Germany...It's gotta be Oktoberfest in full swing yeah ? Beeer,sausage and strudel.....my kind of health food !...Followed naturally by a good pipe of course !

I don't like events like the Oktoberfest...we were in the Teutoburg Forest, where "some" years ago Germanic tribes killed some Romans... it was 9 A.D.Last edited by eTom; 10-22-2012 at 10:14 AM.
