I think I'm liking this trend towards white stems. Anyone know how well they look when they've had a bit of (mis/ab) use?

How long did it take you guys to get your Joe Case Pipes? I know he states 8 weeks, but I was wondering if I really have to wait that long. I just ordered a custom-designed pipe a few days ago.

If white stems are semi-transparent, over time the air-way will become stained with the oils and tars produced by smoking. You can alleviate this problem before it arises by running a pipe-cleaner dipped in lemon-juice or a citrus degreaser through the stem post-smoke. Don't use alcohol, as this will cause micro-cracks (crazing) which although don't impact the structural integrity of the stem, are unsightly.
If the stems are opaque, they will behave like any other opaque lucite stem.

Puffing on some Newminister Danish Gold (Golden Cavendish) in an Invicta Banker atm; am on a clear-liquid diet as I prep for surgery on Friday, and can't handle my usual dark-fired high nic blends.

mine took about 9 weeks I think? I do know that joe was taking orders for having pipes done by Christmas and the cut off was like oct 8th or something along that, so I'm assuming around 8-10 weeks. they are definitely worth the wait though
