And I have you to thank for it! I see a lot of very pretty pipes on this thread. Kinda makes me want to get one. Maybe your first pipe is like your first love, I really like this pipe! But, if you want, I could part with it. I'll send it back to you. Just send me that little black and white beauty you have. On second thought, no, I like this one, and it's been bringing luck to the Giants, don't wanna put a hex on 'em.
Have a great Sunday Y'all!! donv

Thanked: 1263And here's the pic to go with the below previous post of mine...
I've shared my Limited Edition Lorenzetti already and said how my beautiful lady aquired it for me. There was actually another special "gift" that went along with this pipe...the other night we attended an amazing dinner gathering put on by Burlington Tobacco for their anniversary and for the "unveiling" of the pipe. They actually found a restaurant that we could indulge in our pipe habit in, but what made it even more special was that Alessandro Lorenzetti was there himself all the way from Italy. He brought with him some of his freehands which leads me to my other pipe in the picture...my newest acquisition..my new Lorenzetti with the box signed by the man himself. He was a delightfully humble man and as you can see from the pipes, extremely talented. All in all an amazing affair and a night to be remembered for both myself and my lady And both pipes smoke exquisitely!

Thanked: 1185Hearth and Home Stogie in a Kaywoodie Flame Grain Meershaum. Had about four of these today now onto some Billy Budd after dinner. No dipping today. I've decided to return to my existential roots as a pipe smoker and put away the worm dirt and dog rockets for a while. Will be courting a couple pounds of Old Joe Krantz later this week. That's just serious, no kidding pipe smoking there! Can't wait to set fire to some of that stuff!

Thanked: 3Spending the day with a tin of Blakeney's Best Baked Bayou Sliced from '09; delivered through a pair of Dr. Grabow Omegas with modified stems (knocked off the wanna-be P-Lip and reshaped the button). Love this blend with orific bits!

I tend to lurk more than anything on here but felt it was time to share a few more pics as so many of you contribute on a regular basis. I managed to get a few pics at the weekend of my quality time outdoors.
The hike in;
The set up;
The evening's meal prepped after breakfast:
Squaring away the admin early left plenty of time for this;
Plenty of pipes, plinking, cooking and drinking. This one was solo as it's getting chilly at night but normally I'd have company;
Not that 7 year olds admit to feeling the cold! This weekend I mainly enjoyed various aromatics for some reason. Might be due to winter starting to kick in, I had a fair bit of Peterson Christmas 2011 and really enjoyed it for a change...

Cold, windy, rainy evening in southern Ontario...feeling the outer bands of Sandy. Thought tonight would be a fine time to continue my tobacco tradition...opening a can of McClelland Christmas Cheer 2 months before Christmas. It's a 2008 vintage this time. The Virginia blend gives me fine smokes and lasts me right into the holiday season...
Enjoy your evening.
