I just finished polishing this one up, so I figure it's time for the maiden voyage.

Last night's victory pipe led me to open a tin of Frog Morton. The game was awesome, and so was the choice of tobacco. No game tonight, but I will still have some of the Frog in my pipe. I'm still new at this, and feel as if I have gotten into it too late. So many things to try. Has anyone else tried the Morton on the Bayou? Are there similar things out there to it? I found it hard to describe, woody, like cedar and pine? Anyway, I really like it and any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Take care and happy weekend to all!! Don

Your taste has expanded a lot in the past few months... Went from Black Cav. to English (or a Latika)... Doing good... If you get a few bucks, looks at Welcome to Boswells and get a few ounces of Northwoods... I think you will like it...

Thanks NoseWarmer, I might not know too much about tobacco yet, but sometimes not knowing is an advantage. To explain, I don't have any preconceived thoughts about something. I try something and if I like it, it's because I like it, not because I'm going by somebody's opinion. All I know is that the Frog Morton really tripped my trigger, it was a happy thing to smoke, a real joy. If you say I'm on a course that takes me by the Northwoods, I'll sure as heck give it a try. Like I said, I have a long ways to go, but, if I never find "the" perfect tobacco to smoke, I'll sure enjoy the journey!! Now I gotta wait to call Boswells, I hope they are open on Saturday.

    Thanks again, Don

    Congrats,

You have a real beautiful pipe. The white stem makes it look very special.

Although I haven't tried to Morton on the Bayou yet, I have heard it compared to Hearth and Homes "Larry's Blend" a lot. I have LB and it is a great smoky baccy, highly recommend it

Must be all over northern Europe now. Currently wifey & daughter are visiting in Estonia to see some family friends (and possible another puppy we are going to get, maybe ). She just called few hours ago and said the weather & road conditions are chaotic there. Huge snow storm going on right now.

So it was Presbyterian from Jirsa earlier today in the city.

So, being a way too lazy to cook for ourselves, me & son rushed to the city riverside to get some smoked salmon & black bread from Åland. Damn they are delicious.
