Thanked: 32Thanks guys, I have no doubts about waiting it out. He seems to be growing in popularity (and skill), so I suspect I will be glad to only wait a couple months.
This new purchase will help ease the pain.
Unsmoked Stanwell, Unique grade snagged for a great price.

Pipe of the Day
Today I hopefully get to smoke my new Dagner Moretti pipe. This is the best looking pipe I own, and Marco is an awesome guy to work with. I think I shall christen it with some Mississippi river

Thanked: 1185Today's Lineup: C&D Billy Budd x 4. In a large Doodler twice and the Kaywoodie Mandarin twice. The cooler weather (an perhaps a bit of aging) has made the Billy Budd much better. Strange blend this one, I don't normally go in for heavy Latakia blends but the other tobaccos involved (maduro cigar leaf and a healthy dose of good old American Burley) seem to balance this out and make it not only quite tasty but very pleasant to smoke as well.
PS: Bright and early this morning I pulled the trigger on a pound of C&D Old Joe Krantz (my favorite pipe tobacco of all time, hands down). It's steaming in from South Carolina even as we speak. Can't wait. Haven't had any in a coons age.Last edited by 1OldGI; 11-01-2012 at 11:34 PM.

Good question,
I've lived and worked by or at sea for most of my life and it's difficult to imagine living somewhere away.
Of those times i've been for longer times somewhere away from the coast i've felt bit uncomfortable pretty soon. But it is very common feeling with most people i do know around here. Lakes aren't the same, there's always an opposite shore.
Thanks for asking. That was an interesting question.

I had just enough TPP in the tin for a first smoke (1/3 bowl) in my new Mastro de Paja.
