Devilpup, It's one of my favorite pipes as well and a great smoker. It's a big pipe over all, long and thick walled so it smokes very cool and dry. Regular old black cavendish is a perfect match for it. I love all 3 of my Nordings but the big Wax Drip is my favorite.

Back in the '80's I had a double barrel that was considerably shorter. It was a mule to shoot, but a whole heap of fun.
