Been really busy lately but it has turned out to be worth it. I was recently recruited for a new job in sales where I'm guaranteed a doubling of my salary plus 25% commission. As you can tell im excited as can be. In anticipation I'm building a nice cart of Tobaccacy at P&C. Being on the run lately I've been hitting the red man more and more, but I've still been hitting the OJK in a cob before bed.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

Hi,
my grandpa swiped the flea market on thursday and today and bought grand total of 9 pipes, 3 on thursday and 6 today. I received first 3 and here are some pics:
It has engraved ATU BRIAR, with oval shaped chamber (25 mm x 8 mm), 30 mm deep.
It has engraved ADVENT DENTAL on one and LONDON MADE on other side, round chamber with 15 mm diameter and 20 mm deep.
It has engraved BRUYERE GARANTIE, round chamber with 15 mm diameter and 25 mm deep.
They all seem a bit small to me...
Does anyone here have any experience with such "small" pipes? How do they smoke?
Cheers,
Rob

Rob,
Nice pipe. I can imagine that there's surely all kinds of interesting stuff in Croatian flea markets.
Small pipes for quicker smokes. They tend to get hot bit easier but you can control it by smoking slower.
Off topic, but you have a beautiful country. I've been there when it still was Yugoslavia. Dubrovnik was beautiful, pivo was cold and Slivovica was strong. Later i spent some time in Kosovo. Would be nice to get there again some day.

Hello Tomi,
thanks for reply. They do look like I could have a quick smoke while on pause at work.
Yes, Dubrovnik is really nice, I was there twice, once as a child and once on school excursion. Pivo is always cold here in Croatia and Slivovica can be strong, but it really depends on the place of origin. The one from Zagorje is usually stronger than one from Slavonia.
Cheers,
Rob

Sad news gents... I was watching a banjo duel while it fell from my hand... I saw it in slow motion but my moves weren't fast enough... sigh! This fox has been with me for 20 years... I will glue it, but it will remain unsmoked from now on...

Thank you so much, dear friend...
It is said to be a Sud-Tyrol model, from the area between Italy and Austria, but I bought it when I was at the high school from the nearest tobacconist. I was reading the Lord of the Rings at that time, and that tobacconist had just bought a stock of these pipes... They are actually made more for display than for smoking, but this one had done its job well. It will become a furniture embellishment in my mountain house.

Mauri that is probably my favorite style of pipe. And you have a great looking one. . As that one goes into retirement, i can't wait to see the one that replaces it .
