My honest thanks, Chris!
The photography is something is just have as an on-off hobby, among few other things. I think the learning curve in this is eternal. Sometimes i feel that i've learned something, sometimes not. Sometimes i take back steps.
As you said, i've tried to learn by watching the works of others, but without trying to copy them. However, i usually have my SLR or pocket camera with me wherever i go (as i do have my pipe), so why not try to take a pic of a moment with a pipe as well.
What it comes to Thomas (eTom), i haven't heard anything from him for long time either. He, as any, was a heck of a photographer of a professional level. I'm not much active in this so called social media, but i could try to get in contact with him. If not other, just to hear he is ok.

Thanks for your review about Bothy flakes. I've been fancing SG's for long (well not them all). Haven't tried Bothy flakes this far. What would you say about the strenght?'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

We took an evening walk with the dogs at the riverside. At the eastern side this time. And as usual, Erinmores from Barling.
What makes this post transition, 3 digit Barling, made in the mid 80's is somewhat different. Unlike others, this one is made in Denmark.
Although smallish, it's quite heavy. No filter, excellent smoker.
And the Erinmore flakes is just something my all day tobacco. Cheap, mid strenght, maybe the only 'aromatic' i've smoked for a long time. Nowadays Rattray's use the same recipe with their Wallace Flake. When we still had our own tobacco factory, Erinmores and Capstans (blues) were produced under license here. Capstans were made under name 'Capstan army & navy flake'
And just few pic from the same walk:

An recommendations for a blend somewhat similar to Dunhill Nightcap but more complex? My buddy gifted me a tin that has sat for 2 years and I expected more from it.

Thanked: 101Captain Black "Red Sky" in my blasted Lovatt. It is cherry flavored and good. Not too sickeningly sweet, but smoky and creamy. I'll get more when I run out.

Got a bowl of Tuarekh from my good old warhammer Jirsa while on an evening walk with buddies. Guess i've posted some pics of this old place before.
'Thanks' to current TV series, nowadays i always think about the lyrics from 'Rains of Castamere' when walking around here For those who do not know it herre's one version of it:
