]well, i went out today and hit the same antique shop again. this time i walked out with a chacom festival, for 12 bucks, and she smokes wonderful, it is my submission to pipe of the day, with some dukes blend, and a nice cup of csar nicholas caravan tea, make a nippy chill filled evening seem right with the world for a little while.

Wow, that moose must have been chewing some Red Man Chewing Tobacco. My pre-bed smoke was C&D Old Joe Krantz in an 8822 Kaywoodie Carburater.

Capstan is another one of those tobaccos I can't find in the states. You get all the good stuff across the pond ;-)

    All,

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could exchange tobacco?! Some of our McClelland and Cornell & Diehl for some of our European brothers' Samuel Gawith and Holger Dansk. If it was done strictly on a barter basis, would we still be at risk of running afoul of the law? Just a thought...sure would like some Chocolate Flake and Full Virginia.

    Fond regards,
    Jimbo

What!? Me!? Smoking an English blend and liking it? So I went to a local B&M the last time I was in there, he had a tin of Peterson's Irish Flake that I decided should wait for next time. So on the way home from work tonight, I swung by hoping to score the Peterson's Irish Flake. No Joy since I was there though I was by proxy obilgated to walk out with something right?

So there it was, a tin of Dunhill's Early Morning pipe. Now those of you who know me, know that I'm a burley codger all the way and not normally prone to English blends but what the hey, says I. So in the parking lot, I load up my trusty Doodler and much to my surprise, this seems like a pretty likeable blend. Quite nice indeed, OJK and Billy Budd are certainly in no danger of losing their places as Big Boys on the Block but I could really see myself smoking EMP on a semi regular basis. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
