    @TheZ:
    As I wrote already, I try the tobaccos and post a report together with a "small" translation of DanPipes website.
    Stay tuned

    Smoke Du Jour:

    Dunhill Early Morning Pipe in a 7713B Kaywoodie

    Fellas, if you've yet to sample this pipeweed, I can't recommend it highly enough. Until I burned some of this stuff I always thought the term "all day English blend" was a myth. I was mistaken, not only is this my choice for an all day English blend but the smoking manners on this one (dare I say) are nearly comparable to my beloved "vulgar American burlies." The latakia content is just right (unless you enjoy smoking heavy bulkan blends) and another amazing discovery, the room note will not peel the paint off the walls. All things considered, Gentlemen, EMP is the poop***

    *** For those of you who are not fluent in idiomatic GI English, describing something as "the poop" means it is of the highest quality.

    Moose Drool on tap can't be beat. I always stop by Moose's Saloon when in Kalispell!

    Already have, London Mixture as well. Too much latakia. I do enjoy both blends but heavy latakia blends (i.e. most English and Balkan blends) tend to do strange things and uncomfortable things to my body. The latakia hangover (i.e. waking up with severe heartburn, mouth tastes like the bottom of a monkey cage and chest feels like someone is standing on it) is a formidable foe so I tend to avoid most English and Balkan Blends. Squadron Leader on the other had was tolerable but never struck me as much over mediocre. 1792 and SG Chocolate Flake would have been regulars in the rotation but why fall in love for stuff you can't get.

    Speaking of heavy Latakia, here's some St. John's blend from my local B&M. Smoked in a Pete Aran.

    Just came upon this post. I have to agree, the Blue Note is probably the best aromatic I've ever smoked. I barely ever do smoke them, but it's definitely something the wife didn't mind being smoked in the house. My usual tobacco is pretty much the aroma of burning tires

    Good morning friends,

    today a report about Malthouse- tobacco:
    DanPipe wrote at their website:
    "Benannt nach der altehrwürdigen Mälzerei, in der heute die DTM (DAN TOBACCO) unsere Tabak-Mixturen für Sie zubereitet.

    Eine superbe Mixture der feinsten Virginia-Provenienzen, die unter Zusatz von schottischem Malt Whisky in der Presse fermentiert und danach 12 Wochen bis zur vollen Reife gelagert wurde. Zur Vertiefung des Geschmacks gaben wir einen besonders vollmundigen, weichen Black Cavendish hinzu.

    THE MALTHOUSE bietet Ihnen einen sanften Genuß mit dezent klassisch-würziger Note."

    Best Virginia blends with Scotch Malt Whisky and a good Black Cavendish.

    I love this tobacco!
