    They seem to be Acrylic I'm not and expert but it looks and feel like the thing some razor scales are made of. They also have pipes for all branches of the U.S. Military and they is a web site you can send them a picture or design of what ever and they will make it for you. it is Block Meerschaum Pipes since 1963

    @ Slam: How do you like that Peterson Dracula, any problems with the black finish? I've been thinking about buying one, but that finish makes me a little nervous for some reason. Thanks in advance.

    i'd still like to see how you make a stem. I haven't seen bamboo with that close spacing of joints before. do you line the stem?

    I use premade stems... No tallent here to make a hand cut one... I have been know to break a few...

    As for the bamboo shank... No lining, just natural...

    About all I can say it's a Peterson so the Quality is there I just liked the way it looks
