Hey fellas, when I got to the barbershop today, I found that my estate Peterson meerschaum had arrived! I stuffed her full of Orlik, and was rewarded with an excellent smoke. This is my first meer, and I really like it-- although, the P-lip is going to take a little getting used to:

I got a really great deal on this pipe, because the seller had it listed as a Pioneer by mistake. The P-lip and the blurry pic of the markings had me convinced that it was a Pete; so, for 40 smackers, I took a shot. Here's a pic of it on a white background, it's already developed some nice color:

Also, the tenon is a little loose, any tricks for tightening it up?

    chay2K.

Have you tried applying some beeswax (food grade) to your tenon?

My new Mr. Brog pipe. Purchased as my "beater" pipe. Time to mow the lawn and take him for a test spin.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll give the beeswax a try first-- if that doesn't work, a new stem may be in order. I'd just hate for this bowl to fall off and break mid-smoke.

    chay2K,

I have also read in a pipe/tobacco catalogue that applying some clear fingernail polish to the tenon will tighten it up too.
