Sailor, you got me interested in trying some Capstan, so I ordered a tin from smokingpipes.com, and it should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to giving it a try next time I light up a pipe! I plan on breaking in a Peterson billiard, St. Patty's Day 2013, with the Capstan.

If you get a Peterson, start off with a system pipe, very cool and rewarding smoke, you'll get hooked.

Always thought that acorn was a pretty pipe.
I would suggest trying a p-lip pipe also. They're not for everyone, but I love them. Keep me from getting tongue bite while I'm daydreaming.

I received my 12 oz. can of Granger pipe tobacco today and have just finished my first bowl. The verdict..... I like it a lot. I'm happy to put this in my regular rotation.

Unless they have changed options, the P-lip comes standard wth the system pipe...part of the system. But I agree the P-lip is a wonderful thing.

Tomi...curious....My BC acorn tends to get dottle quickley and I'm wondering if it's the shape or depth of the bowl? It's a deep acorn. Do have dottle issues with your acorn ?

I've not noticed any differences. This estate Barling is a big pipe too with a deep bowl.
While smoking it gets a bit warmer but it's because of the material, not shape.

Yeah.....I figure our pipes are pretty close in shape and size. Mine gets warmer a little quicker too.Hmm...maybe I could just be packing it too tight too. Guess I'll have to fire it up now and see. I love a good excuse to fire up heh heh. MacBaren Virginia No.1 in the Butz-Choquin Diam acorn woo hoo !Name: 001.jpg
