Nothing fancy today. Just some more "Bob's Chocolate Flake" in an old Ehrlich "Poker"

Personally, I like it. Not really trying to make a point here, just some casual, Friday afternoon observations.
Well gee Don, whadd'ya tryin to say huh !!! Just bustin yer chops a little ha ha. Seriously though I know what you mean. Perique I find is a little too strong and throaty for me if ya can believe it. Whereas I find the Latakia to smell strong but taste mellower than expected. I think you are right about the love it or hate it thing. That's the beauty of pipe smoking is the fact that pipe smokers are good at contemplating and coming up with interesting random thoughts and observations.

I guess i've spent my life by inhaling exhaust gas, burning oils and gunpowder and whatever induatrial grade chemicals (our gas masks are joke) so propably my sensitiveness is not quite it might have been.
After tasting this this McB Latakia i thought it was ok and good (but where the heck is Latakia?).

Then again, with Dunhill 'Night Cap' or St.Germain's '1820' you get all the Latakia you ever wanted and more
I was a bit curious about that Dunhill nightcap. while I do like vitamin "L", I don't know if I would like a full blown latakia smoke, but a blend is good for now. who knows though. I never thought I would like English blends but here I am loving some.

There's also 'my mixture' and '965' from Dunhill. Not too much difference between them (imho). They are all ok if you up to Latakia. Not light stuff. Just my habit, maybe, but i prefer heavy Latakia smoke bombs more as my winter tobaccos. Perfect outdoors when there's snow and cold wind blowing.

Both latakia and perique are quite different, but imho perique doesn't not have such a scent/smell/'room note'. I do not smoke heavy latakias in the house as it smells like mc boots or old socks like my wife said. Better keep her happy unless i want to see her turn into mad Louhiatar or something

However, there's only one room i use for smoking in the house, my 'gentlemans lounge' (laughing out loud). I built a separate venting system from some old channel blower (have no idea about the English terms). It works ok.

How's the Hyde Park? Anything to compare it to?
