Thread: Pipe of the Day

My day yesterday. Razor of the day, potato sausage, and pipe of the day using my experimental cork glued in a dunhill can. In my cold basement the epoxy didn't want to cure so I took the Zippo and heated up the bottom of the tin. It worked beyond my wildest expectations.

Thanked: 1160Aromatics should stay in an aromatic pipe and if possible, Virginias should stay in a Virginia pipe. Perique and latakia are strong tobaccos that probably should stay with their own kind. latakia is smokey and perique is I guess you could say peppery sorta. Orliks is a virginia blend with perique for example so it's got that little peppery kick in the backnote to it. Plumcake is good but it's got latakia in it so into the lat pipe it goes. You will have to do a little hit or miss on your own and if you make a few mistakes along the way......so have we all at one point.

Thanked: 1160Example: My little beater Czech pipe was originally a Virginia pipe. But, because I can smoke Frog Morton all day and get no tongue bite from it, I turned it into a latakia pipe now. and as I am puffin on it and havin some tea and groaning from the days aches and pains, the thought occurs to me............."sure would love a nice Karelian meat pie about now with some tatoes maybe and maybe even some sort of gravy like topping to make it all nice and fattening ha ha.

Smoking that ratray's accountants mixture again. So far so good. Kinda reminds me of Dunhill 965 with a little more latakia.

Thanked: 1160So I started reading up on latakia, turns out a lot of it now comes from Cyprus and Greece. I could handle living on the Medeterranian ,eating baklava, drinking tea and smoking some latakia blend. Opa !!
