Ha ha, sorry to keep you all waiting. I went for a 16" clay pipe. I had several reasons: I heard the clay doesn't ghost so you can taste different tobaccos better. I heard clay is really absorbent and kind of cleans the smoke. I figured 16 inches of clay would probably give the cleanest smoke around. I really liked the look of it. I like the novelty of it. The bowl is fairly small, which suits me well as someone fairly new to tobacco. And finally it was one of the cheapest pipes I could find!
