Thread: Pipe of the Day

Well, my tobaccos have arrived, but the pipe hasn't yet. They smell very interesting and very different to the cigars that I've tried. Looking forward to having a taste.

I was wondering. Does anyone use anything to line thier tobacco pouch?

Last night it was Lancer's Slices from the Arley Kurtz, accompanied by a Colorado kool-aid.

I don't..I only use my pouch for one designated tobacco as it's permeated with the scent of it. Personally don't like pouches much because of that and the fact that they don't seem to keep my tobacco moist for very long. I usually use a tin or something that's airtight.

How I long for the old days when you could hang a pipe out yer mouth in more public places i.e bars, restaurants etc....sigh I remember being at an outdoor event about seven years ago approx.. I walked up to a police officer on duty and asked if it was permissible to smoke my pipe at said event. He says "As long as the tobacco was tobacco then yes". So I lit up, it was a nice smelling aromatic , A cherry if I remember correct....this lady passes by me and gave me such a stink eye and rude comment....needless to say I fired back with my own expletive and thus ended my practice of smoking at public events.

Finished up a bowl of "Captain's Choice" in my basket briar after my corned beef, cabbage and red potatoes. My 1lb of Shortcut to Mushrooms came today as well!

Most of the ppl who see me smoke my pipe don't know what to make of it. But every now and then I run into another pipe smoker. My wife got a tattoo a couple of weeks back and the artist was a pipe smoker.

Funny you say that .....especially with younger folk but even with general public, it seems to me sometimes that people look with an expression of "What's that thing hanging out of that mans mouth and how does it work ?" ....... I feel more and more like an alien dinosaur in these times.
