Thanked: 1160It's the Perique that gets me. I want to like it but it doesn't like me. Tends to rag my throat out a bit.

Thanked: 1160I didn't know it was C&D ? I've tried their other blends but always walked away kinda disappointed. They seemed a little harsh like. I feel the same way with Mac B. Too sharp.

CD is known for dry product.
Doesn't hurt to immediately jar a tin. There was a reported mold problem at one time. No recent reports, though. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 1160Alright Rolodave.....this why your a bad influence. You put an AD bug in my mind with your new pipe...so........
New Pipe, a Rossi Lucca Author pipe and some old Tartan for it's inaugural smoke. Nice pipe. Big but not clumsy or very heavy. Always wanted an author and it's my first Italian pipe. Feels good in the hand and it's a good pointer for debating and such.

Wow, just WOW!!!
That is a beautiful piece. I don't have any authors. They look to fit the hand better than other shapes. The silver band really sets off the transition. That is one to be really proud to display. Congratulations!!!
That will be a good honing pipe. Bowl would be out of the way of your loupe or scope. I have a few straight pipes but never smoke them.
Now I will have to lust for a author. The rabbits are digging overtime. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.
