Do you get any bite with the bullseye? I have some that’s been jarred for a few years and it still has got a little to it, too dry and the flavor goes flat.

No I don’t. That’s odd that you do. I really enjoy it with even one year age. It is my “go to” “daily” smoke although I smoke many other blends too. I guess YMMV applies to this too.

Do you have a picture of your pipe (s)?

    Default Mastro De Paja-Custom Elite

This is, to me, a very special pipe. Alberto Montini, the owner of Mastro De Paja, hand made this pipe for me. We collaborated together to design it and it has elaborate sterling silver specially worked along with a beautiful grain that explodes from the birdseye at the bottom of the pipe. It is a “2 sun pipe” and also has the “sun emblem” instead of the usual silver dot on the stem. It is one of my best smokers to boot.

Alberto Montini is a man of class, intelligence, and passion for pipes not to mention a master craftsman and artisan. Thanks for looking and reading.

I like all my pipes but since I got my author which was not the first big bowl in my life, I have been favoring a larger capacity bowl more these days.Fill it, aaand smoke ...rather than two or more bowls in a day.

The same. I have some McClellan that still bites after 8 years. It is English Oriental Supreme.
    Anyone have any Frogmorton?

I think bite is distinctive to each person and blend. If you read the comments at Smokingpipes.com you will see some reviewers reporting bite and others saying no bite. YMMV for sure.

I rarely consider a new pipe whose bowl is less than 0.80 inch.

Oriental leaf in general nips my tongue. Not sure what it is, maybe a body chemistry thing.
