And now for something completely different ..... years ago I used to collect Ashton magnums. Yes I smoked them. I thought you gentlemen would enjoy seeing some of these beauties by the late William Ashton Taylor.

These were some of those I had at the time. Long since gone to new homes but they were cool while I had them. The cased magnum billiard was # 1 IIRC and sits next to a group 3 size Julius Vesz poker. The Castello poker in the foreground amongst the others also for size comparison is a GG IIRC. Also long gone.

I first saw QuickNicker's morta (bog oak) pipes at a WNY meet last year, and I knew I wanted one. I was very impressed when he told me he made them himself. I tried to buy one off him then and there, but no luck. Later on, we worked out a trade; QN likes OLD razors and I like his pipes. Well, today she arrived, along with two blends to try out.

This pipe is AWESOME. The air flow is excellent, and she smokes very cool and very dry. The grain is beautiful, the workmanship is first class, and she feels great in the hand.

A HUGE thanks goes out to QN for this one.

    Good afternoon, Gentlemen.
I've made for myself a gift on New Year.
Old Vauen without filter from 30's.

    manah,

Fine pipes, indeed. But, I am fascinated by the table lighter! What can you tell us about it? Could we please see more views?

    Thanks,
Jimbo (inveterate lover/collector of Zippos and other wick lighters)
    Please ...

    Alex,

That's how I thought that Ronson worked. Simply pull the match out and it light by friction. Very very neat. I'm on the hunt now!
I have old Ronson's and other brands but that is so unique.

This one is a KBB which turned into Kaywoodie later. This one is from 1918.
