Thread: Tactical Shotgun?

We've got a few shotguns. Mostly sporting guns so side by side or O/U's in 12g and .410. Theres a bolt action Webley with a 3 round magazine which takes the 3" magnum .410 loads. Thats a great rabbit gun but not really tactical lol..!
The most tactical type weapon we have is a Beretta A390 semi auto. Its also a sporting gun but its chambered for 3" 12g Magnum rounds so it really does pack a punch!
I also have an old Crimean War percussion cap musket rifle. Again, not tactical but pretty cool hehe!

Here is my model of 1897 Winchester. Elmer Keith called it "the greatest alley cleaner of them all." Mine is the takedown model, some are solid frame. If you've seen the movie Bullit with Steve McQueen you'll have seen one of the two hit men in the beginning of the flick use a '97 takedown to pull off a murder. Great gun with a lot of history and BTW designed by John M. Browning.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Here is mine so far:
870 with knoxx stock and forend (won't keep the forend). I might swap the bead out for a white bead or ghost ring sights.

Thanked: 101
I have 2 870s (12ga) one a Wingmaster and the other an Express. Both have had work done to them. One is sporting a 20in. RS CYL Smooth bore barrel and the other is wearing an older Wingmaster barrel taken down to 18in. with a bead on it. I have had several other 870s in the past, other WMs and a Police Magnum. I have also had a takedown 1897 in 16ga. No disconnector like has been said and you can let 'er rip through the whole mag tube! I have a mag ext. in a drawer, but it is unwieldy on my gun. I like it with 4+1. Suits me just fine...

I love the Winchester 1897 trench brooms. I have wanted one from the time I had a 1897 sweet sixteen. I have always loved tactical shotguns but haven't had one for years...
