Gotta get a couple in from Stardust. I bought this album when it came out. I called my Mom in to hear this "new music" by Willie Nelson. Most of the songs on the album were written by Hoagie Carmichael and none of them were new. My parents being Hoosiers were very familiar with Carmichael's work. My mom near laughed herself out of her chair at what I was referring to as new music. She said the first time she went out dancing this was the music they played. Sure do miss her. Here's to ya Mom!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

To me there are some things about this season that are absolutely sacred. First amongst these used to be the principle that one should never, ever attempt to cover the Pogues' Fairy Tale of New York. It is such a perfect song that any such attempt was doomed to fall flat. And then I heard this:

P.S. Quick! Someone needs to tell Ben about this place - he needs our help!

P.P.S. Just in case anyone doesn't know the brilliant original:

Although the singer in the cover more fits the character of the song I still prefer the original.

Me too - I was just amazed that there was a cover that didn't make me cringe! And the fact they did it live won points from me as well.
