    And one more tonight. This one goes out to everyone who has ever had the courage to release an 18-minute-long song on an album. This one's for all fans of Neil.

    Today Mr. David Jones released his first record in a decade. Cue a Bowie-filled evening for Cangooner. So, in honour of the end of this long wait for his fans, here are a couple of my favourites.

    Heroes

    Absolute Beginners

    This week your Friday night selections are brought to you by the land. I am a little bummed out by my plans for a weekend spent at least in part in a quinzee have been scuppered by stupid warm temperatures and sloppy rain. All that wonderful snow disappearing... So I figured if I can't get out and enjoy the land this weekend as I had hoped, I can at least celebrate it in song. A new one and a classic... enjoy.

    Elliot Brood

    And Gilles Vigneault

    That is a fantubeulous setup!

    Just finished reading Neil Young's book in which he goes on at some length about sound quality (and trains and cars, hence my new sig quote...) so I've had sound quality on the brain lately. I know really nothing about HiFi gear, but that just looks like it sounds great!

    [QUOTE=mapleleafalumnus;1089906]One week to go, boys!!!

    Hey Maple!!!

    So, did I hear right that they are going to play 48 games? If so, would the home games be less than half that? I was thinking if I can get a little more time, I'll be able to take my son to a game. Closest for us is San Jose, that's a pretty good trip from here. I'll have to see if they have a schedule up. I went once before, had a great time, that was back in "02", so I guess I'm due for another game!!
