johnmrson ... That is one of the pens I REALLY want... but I prefer the version with the black cap. The Delta Dolce Vita.

I have a few pens but nothing extraordinary. I do enjoy writting with them and practice my terrible handwritting with them mostly. Its annoying when your handwritting is not much better then you kids! Makes you suddenly want to improve it lol.

For those who do know FP's I have a TWSBI 540, Rosetta Coronado, Sheaffer golden pearl striped & Waterman Lady Anastasia

I have to agree with Obie, I have a Pelikan M200 in the green and black. Not only is it a gorgeous pen, but writes wonderfully. I love writing with a fountain pen again. I have several Parkers (51, 21 and Rialto), a few Esterbrooks, a Platinum and of course the Pelikan.

Nice! That Delta looks like a beauty.

I use a fountain on a daily basis--can't stand using much else. I have a respectable Waterman, but my daily pen is either a Rotring with a medium nib or a Lamy Safari with a broad. Lamy Safari writes exceptionally well and has to be the best pen value for out there. Even when compared to roller balls or, ball points. I took a couple of Lamy Safaris with to Afghanistan--flawless performance under some tough conditions.

As I mostly carry and use a FP at work, I can't use something expensive, so I settled for a couple inexpensive ones for now, mainly a Pilot 78g with a broad(italic) nib and a Lamy Safari with a 1,1mm italic nib, buying the new TWSBI 540 as soon as the italic nibs are out. For inks I like something "old school" or classic, so my main ink is the Noodler's Air-Corp Blue-Black, which is a cool classic blue-green ink, spite the name Old army style.
    I also like Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black.

I've used a fountain pen daily since I was 12. I still have the pen, engraved with my 12th birthdate, and still use it to this day - a beautiful old Sheaffer with the best nib I have ever used. I guess after 30 years of use the nib has worked itself in...

Because of my job (lecturer) I get to use fountain pens all the time. I write lecture notes with them, I work out math with them, they are my daily pen. It has been years since I used any other type of pen actually, now that I think about it.

I use the old Sheaffer and a brushed steel Lamy with italic nib for day to day stuff. I also have a nice little vintage Onoto in fake tortoise shell my father bought me that I sometimes crack out. Other than that I have a Mont Blanc (probably my least favourite pen to use, but again has nice memories - my wife got it for me for an important exam once), a few Parkers and Watermans here and there. Not sure how many I have actually.

I like the Faber Castell bottle ink, but I also use Watermans and Parker ink. Mont Blanc ink sucks in anything but Mont Blancs, at least in my experience - seems really thin.

Sheaffers have had the best nibs out of any fountain pen I've tried. I think its the little upturned bit at the end. I even thought of trying to adapt one for a parker 51... but that didn't look very promising.
