not a fan of them, more like the anti-fan! Had to carry one or the other for 21 years. Would have reather carried a .30 cal round to get the job done right! Something in the M14 variety. maybe even a .56 cal C. Sharps Rifle w/Double set triggers.
Oh and I hate the Beretta too! Da** 9mm wimpy round. "but I can carry 15 rounds" ...... and you'll need every one of them and more! Should never have gotten rid of the 1911! Yeah, I'm old school! That's the reason I hang out here.Last edited by FurryFacedFella; 02-23-2011 at 05:30 AM.

Thanked: 4Beautiful pieces there. I need to take pics of mine. I have only one as of now. Maybe if and when I get done with my 1911 project, I will look for another.

The Beretta came into the picture because the Gov't wanted to kiss NATO's a**. I totally agree that the .45 ACP should have never been taken out of service. That was a perfect example of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It served us well for 75 years. As a side note, the US Coast Guard dumped the 9mm about 5 years ago and went w/ the .40. It may not be a .45, but it's sure an improvement.

I like the .223 for playing around and yotes, but for duty carry or home defence I'd prefer 6.8 spc or something like a 7mm-08. The 9mm is for pansys The only prob with the 1911 (also one of my favorites) is many of them don't care for hollow points. I love the .40 and plan on carrying some of the hot load hollow points once I turn 21 and leave the state.

Thanked: 1936I pitty the bad guy that comes at my "pansy" wife as they will receive a deep tissue massage of 147gr hp's.
My point?
There is a desired weapon and round for every situation and operator. There is always someone who prefers something else. Learning to utilize what you have to it's best potential is what makes a shooter.
It's like my rules of a gunfight:
1. Have a gun
2. Hit what you are shooting at.
Heck, my back-up and deep cover round/weapon is a "pansy" 22 mag NAA Pug.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

Here is mine modeled by my wife, she decided to play dress up and thought the S&W M&P M-4 with ACOG would look good with her pink purse.

Those are some great photos that proudly support the 2nd Amendment! I would love to have a similar set up in the house, but SWMBO would not allow it. She does however tolerate the Ruger 9mm and the 12 gauge home security system I have in the house. On a side note, when the zombie apocalypse starts, can we come stay with you guys if we BYOB?
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???
