Hmm.. right, been wrestling with myself for days on whether to post this, so I'm going to bite the bullet and see what happens..
This is Jessie J, she's written songs for all the manufactured pop starts out there and has a ton on No. 1's under her belt because of it.
Someone convinced her to start singing her own songs. My reason for thinking this qualifies as "music that doesn't suck" are thus
1) She wrote and arranged it herself
2) She has a pop at the video for the single that preceeded this one, she didn't like the tone apparently and having to make a video like that in order to "make an Impact"
3) the lyrics have a lot more heart in them than a lot of crap out there today.
Believe me, it is stupidly rare for me to like any of the current crap out there, and i think i have decent taste in music..

Here's a band from Sweden that I recently discovered. Graveyard. They definitely have a Black Sabbath feel.
