    Shall we change gears?

"A Song For You" - Leon, Willy and Ray (Ray nails this one down to the carpet, Willy breaks out in tears).

"America The Beautiful" - Ray Charles Live

"Georgia On My Mind" - Ray Charles

"Georgia On My Mind" O.... M.... G....! This guy makes John Popper look like a toothless inbred.

    Jimmy Z! Yea!

He is killin' it with that harmonica! Wow, I've never heard it with some nice reverb (or echo maybe) like that.

One of my favorite tunes. At the moment I'm rockin the CDB version. OK, the video on this totally sucks but this is Charlie's version of this song. IMHO, it should have been adopted as the new Florida state song but then again no one could play this like Charlie.

This isn't as rockin as Charlies version but the little girl does some pretty good work

And certainly the Roy Clark version was remarkable. What a talented musician

can definitely appreciate that, used to play in a traditional irish music group in school and our violin player was incredible.

Anyone going to post "the devil went down to georgia"?...

There actually is a historic connection between the two. The early settlers of American Appalachia were predominantly of Scotch, Irish and Welsh descent. As you point out, the fiddle was part of their native traditional music and as a result became part of Bluegrass music here in the States.

Here's Devil Went Down to Georgia and another of my CDB favorites
