Well being a Brit it has to be my version of the full English, eggs fried in butter easy over (as you chaps like to say) on a plate with good quality Lincolnshire or Cumberland sausages, Bury black pudding, mushrooms, sauteed fresh tomatoes, two slices of buttered toast and last but not least bubble & squeak, dressed with a splash of HP sauce.

OOPS ! Guess you'll have to make the mother of all fluffy omelets for her and buy a new starter from King Aurther .

I never cared for the dill one, but I guess you're right re acquired taste, most of us are raised on it Those chinese eggs looks leathal, lol.

This morning I made a cheese enchilada omelet. A cheese omelet covered with enchilada sauce and cheese and topped with a little Franks hot sauce and sliced black olive.

That really sounds outstanding osdset. I love black pudding and white pudding, and I never met a sausage I didn't like. Please tell me you have a cup of strong English breakfast tea with this.

I worked at a B&B in Scotland for about 3 months and I got the leftover breakfast items. I must have gained a lot of weight, but it was so worth it.

My first day working there I was helping the proprietor make breakfast and as she was frying the eggs she said to me "We don't make eggs flaptidoo like in your country, we just fry them!" It's 'over easy', btw

Alembic, I am not a great lover of tea, like most of my generation I grew up in a family that had tea brewing all day, frankly I became sick of the taste of it, I then discovered good coffee and have never looked back. I have read your pm and will get back to you.

ChesterCopperpot, 'over easy' thanks for the correction! My grandfather was in the Merchant Navy between the two world wars and visited the USA and Canada a number of times, he had a predilection for ordering 'Adam and Eve on a raft sunny side up' in cafes, I am guessing this refers to eggs on toast?

I shamefully forgot to include bacon in my breakfast which is another British mainstay.

Aye, that's old greasy spoon diner talk, you rarely hear it spoken nowadays. It is indeed eggs on toast, but poached eggs.
