Thanked: 1371
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Combat Arms! (Speaking of which, there is a killer login event tomorrow (well, today - The 17th); free, premium NX items for 90 days). Thank me when you log in.
I also play driving sims. I was a huge fan of the Colin McRae series, but less so now that it's Dirt, and I really do NOT like the new Dirt. I'm a Need For Speed fan as well, and Grid was also awesome.
I'll play pretty much anything, aside from MMO's, because a) I don't like games that don't have single player (CA being the exception) and b) there is no way I'm paying a monthly fee for a video game and c) a MMO is a job, not a game.
My real question is, Who plays Words For Friends? I'm on as holli4pirating. Challenge me if you dare.

Thanked: 46PSX, PS2, PS3, Xbox (not 360), not so much PC any more (keep the console for games, PC for serious work ... and Facebook)
I'm not really a big gamer by most standards, but I've been at it for a while. Currently playing Mass Effect 2 before starting Dead Space 2 ... probably after the end of this semester.

I'm currently working on Mass Effect 2 and Fallout: New Vegas (PC). NV has straight razors as melee weapons which I find infinitely amusing!

Big fan of the PC games from around the turn of the century. System Shock 2, the Thief series, Deus Ex, Homeworld, Freespace and so on. Never really bought any games younger than my 7-year-old computer until I finally tried Half-Life 2 last year. Still have to play the early Silent Hill games and finish Bioshock. I love the big, dark, engaging single-player types. You'll never catch me playing with a handheld or a phone. My gaming's done in a dark room with the lights off.
I replay my favourites a lot, but I generally shun consoles and make a point of keeping behind the times (much cheaper that way and I don't have to listen to all the stupid hype) although I watch Zero Punctuation every week for fun.

Thanked: 46That's a big call, Holli. HL2 is pretty well up there in my personal favourites list. I have it on my Xbox and still go back to play it from time to time as well as Halo1&2. I have a very limited gaming budget, mostly picking things up when they're on outrageous special (ME2, for example, cost me under $20 reduced from full retail of $109) but I'll keep a lookout for Stalker on your mention.

I think stalker was pc only, but I could be wrong.
