Nice handguns, I would still carry one of the 1911's...most likely the stainless Springfield as it would hold up to the wear and tear carry does to one.

very nice guns. Agree with shooter as to carrying one of the 1911s, but I am partial. I also have a 586 with 6" barrel, shoots great just not easy to carry.

pfries, I agree that is why I normally use the TRS for IDPA.

The springfield was my first custom build. It was built on the Springfield loaded model:mmc combat adj. rear sight/dawson .100 fiber optic front/schumann barrel/briley spherical bushing/25 lpi checkering/svi internal components/ and finished off with metaloy hard chrome over stainless. It's actually my favorite gun shooter74743, thanks for liking it.

Rolling out with my Kel Tec P3AT for steak dinner with the wife and kids. Got a full spare mag in weak side pocket for "extras" and Spyderco Endura 50/50 in my front pocket. All ammo is FMJ ball.

Are you sure the Sig 229 was designed for the .40 Smith & Wesson and not the .357 SIG?

Just messing with you, it was both. Beautiful gun. I have a retired German police Sig P6. That's the only Sig I could afford.

.357 Sig is indeed a nice round. When I was shopping for my Sig, I decided on the .40 S&W in part because of its versatility...you can swap out the barrel for both the 9mm and .357 Sig chamberings. I have a match grade 9mm barrel that is incredible to shoot (it's incredibly accurate, and the round is such a pussycat), and will get a .357 Sig barrel one of these days...when I can afford ammo!
