Re: Flintlocks anyone
Went to the range today to have some fun with my AR and a few other things (mostly Blackhawks in .41 & .357) and a buddy brought his Lyman Great Plains Hunter .50 cal flintlock along. I traded him a mag through my AR plus a couple wheels of fun for a few shots from his muzzeloader. I think I'm in love... and here I was planning on a crossbow for this year.

Just make sure when you fire it, that nobody is standing to your right, because some debris comes flying out of the touchhole at break neck speed!! Trust me on this one.... My friend was making a video on his phone of my flinter going off and he was 10 feet to my right and a granular of powder stuck in the back of his hand!!!! So wear your eye protection

Thanked: 1160DEER HUNTER..Flash Guard Screw & Nut for large Siler, deluxe Siler, & Golden Age flintlocks, 8-32 thread, inside mounting screw with square nut. - Track of the Wolf A lot of reenactors use these since they form battle lines...they help keep debris from flying into others close by.
